Beetroot Hummus

Beetroot Hummus is a perfect and healthy dip to enjoy together with snacks or to a meal.

Beetroot is low in calories and rich in fibres, potassium, magnesium, manganese, zinc, sodium, iron, biotin, betanin, folic acid and vitamins C, A and B6.

It's full of antioxidants and great for our immune system.

Chickpeas is a good source of protein and rich in fibre.

  • 3 Beetroots

  • 2-3 cups soaked Chickpeas ( soak them in water over the night first)

  • Grated lime zest (one lime)

  • salt (after taste)

  • 1/2 tsp Thyme (optional)

  • 2tbs Olive oil

  1. Cook roughly chopped beetroots in water for about 20-25 mins

  2. Add chickpeas in water and cook for another 10-15 mins ( make sure both beetroot and chickpeas is soft)

  3. Put the chickpeas and beetroots in a blander together with Thyme, salt, lime zest, olive oil and blend it till it is smooth.

  4. Ready to eat!

You can add any herbs you like in the dip, Don't be afraid to try!

I just added what i found at home.
